Again, long time no speak. When we last left off, I just had a baby! And that's pretty much what I have been doing since ;)
She is now 6 months old! And crazy cute. Here are some photos (like you had to ask!?)
But back to training! I've been working really hard getting ready for triathlon season. I have a VERY full schedule planned. In fact, I have (if the wife gives me the go) the most ambitious schedule EVER and BY FAR. I have 24 possible triathlons I will do this season. I'm pretty sure that is some kind of record (for money spent on a hobby perhaps). These will all be of the Sprint variety (with a few Super Sprints). Nothing long mostly because my knee is still just kind of crappy. But hell, I can do a sprint triathlon! And it really scratches my itch for competition and travel (seeing how I'll be doing tri's in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia). I also seem to be still pretty good at these (at least I was last year). We'll just have to see.
As far as marathons, I'm honestly not sure if I could do another even if I wanted to. I'm more confident I could run further if i went "slow as hell". The idea of just dragging my ass 26 miles doesn't really appeal to me right now (maybe it will at some point). So for now, my state marathon total is stuck at 43 with 8 more to go (since we include DC).
At any rate, I'm not really thinking about running more. I'm thinking about adding more tri's on the calendar. I think I'm at the point where I literally can't do more. I'm excited about the different variety of tri's INCLUDING a triathlon where I paddle a kayak. I've never done it before so therefore, let's sign up for a race doing it against a bunch of people who do it all the time! (what am i thinking?)
Anyway, more details to come. One thing I keep thinking about is the possibility that this Covid-19 virus ends up cancelling races. That would really suck. We'll have to wait and see.
Cute baby!
